Pirates v Yankees, PNC Park, 9/15-16/2023

Friday, 9/15

Ball #1 splashed down into the Allegheny, I splashed in after it and came up with Ball #1.

Inside I found Ball #2 hanging out in this portion of the lower 3rd.

Saturday, 9/16

The Pirates were a non participant in batting practice on this fine Saturday and second to last Saturday early opening of gates for the year.

I did take a swim in the Allegheny River to retrieve a slowly sinking baseball that got torched out of the PNC ballyard. Ball #1

On the Roberto Clemente wall I was able to get a toss up from an unidentified Pirates player for Ball #2 on my way over to the lower third and lower left field side to see the Pirates warm up.

Things went good over there, Ryan Borucki toss for Ball #3, and Oneil Cruz who was regaining his throwing form from his April ankle fracture tossed me one for Ball #4.

Ball #5 was tossed up by one of the Pirates coaches on the lower third side, unidentified.

Ball #6 toss up above the LF bleachers, unidentified Yankees player.

Ball #7 was a scrum of a mammoth homer way over the North Side Notch that found its way squibbing around underneath the upper bleachers hit by Aaron Judge.
